Who is Dan Azagury?
Dan Azagury is a Postdoctoral Research fellow, School of Medicine. He was previously a fellow in the Stanford Biodesign program. Born in Switzerland and raised in multiple countries, Dan graduated from medical school in Geneva in 2001 and then completed surgical residency at the Geneva University Hospital. His focus during training was laparoscopy and bariatric surgery, as well as questioning current perioperative management "habits" such as preoperative NPO, or postoperative nutrition. During this time, he kept a passion for innovation and design, winning 2nd place in a BBraun suture design competition in Switzerland.
