Daunik Lazro est un saxophoniste alto et baryton de jazz et musique improvisée français né le 2 avril 1945 à Chantilly.
Il a collaboré étroitement avec Carlos Zingaro, Jean Bolcato, Joe McPhee, Joëlle Léandre, Jac Berrocal, Raymond Boni, Michel Doneda ou Annick Nozati.
Son saxophone de prédilection était l'alto. Il utilise cependant de plus en plus souvent le saxophone baryton.
Christine Baudillon lui consacre en 2010 un film documentaire de 124 minutes intitulé "Horizon Vertical" aux éditions "Hors-Œil"
