Who is David Grimaldi?

David Grimaldi is an American businessman and the current Chief Administrative Officer of New Castle County government where he serves as second-in-command to County Executive Thomas P. Gordon. He previously served as Managing Director at Minmetals, President of Firestone Hotel Group, and Chief Financial Officer of the Police Athletic League of Delaware. He began his career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in New York City where he was ranked number one in his national peer group.

Grimaldi was Campaign Manager for Tom Gordon 2012, a successful campaign which led to the historic political comeback of Thomas P Gordon.

As Chief Administrative Officer, Grimaldi is second-in-command of County Government and has general supervision over the executive, administrative and operational departments of the County, which has a total workforce of 2,000 employees.

In the second year of the Gordon Administration, New Castle County Government announced a financial turnaround which erased a projected $2 million operating deficit and concluded with an $8.4 million surplus, without raising taxes.,
