David H. Simmons is a Republican member of the Florida State Senate, representing the 10th District, which includes Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Debary, Lake Mary, Oviedo, Sanford, and Winter Springs in Seminole County and southern Volusia County, since 2012, previously representing the 22nd District from 2010 to 2012. Before winning election to the Florida Senate, Simmons served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 37th District from 2000 to 2008.
