Who is David Jenkins?
David John Jenkins was an English professional footballer born in Bristol on 2 September 1946, he signed his first professional contract for Arsenal in October 1963 and made his League debut in Arsenal's 0-0 draw at home to West Ham in November 1967. He scored 9 goals in 25 appearances and played for Arsenal in the 1968 Football League Cup Final against Leeds United. He joined Tottenham Hotspur in exchange for Jimmy Robertson in October 1968, but never proved an adequate replacement for the 1967 FA Cup winner, making just 17 appearances in almost four seasons and scoring 2 goals.
Jenkins joined Brentford in July 1972 and moved to Hereford United in March 1973 where he helped them clinch promotion to the old Third Division. He later played for Shrewsbury Town, Durban City, Workington and several non-League clubs.
