Who is David Markus?

David Evan Markus is an American attorney, public officer and member of the Jewish clergy. He currently serves as Deputy Chief Counsel in the New York State Judiciary, Referee in New York Supreme Court and Associate Spiritual Leader of Temple Beth-El of City Island. Markus formerly served as Special Counsel to the New York State Senate Majority. A leading author of Jewish haiku and rabbinic student in the Jewish Renewal rabbinic program, Markus resides in Westchester County, New York.

Sometimes, David Evan Markus is confused with David Oscar Markus, an attorney in Miami who also graduated from Harvard Law School.
