Who is Dennis McKean?

Dennis McKean brings more than 30 years experience in RD and a proven track record for developing cost effective, innovative materials and process solutions to C3Nano. Prior to joining the company, Dennis spent 3 years in Hong Kong as a director for ASTRI developing jettable LED phosphor layer materials and ink formulations and held senior RD positions at Seagate Technology and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. He also spent 25 years at IBM’s Research Division in San Jose where he, among other things, pioneered ink, photoresist and coating formulations and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, many still in use today. Dennis holds a BS from UC Berkeley, a MS from Stanford and a PhD from Colorado State University, all in chemistry. In addition to multiple awards earned during his tenure at IBM, Dennis’ work has been published more than 20 times and he has been issued more than 30 US patents.
