Who is Dhiruben Patel?
Dhiruben Gordhanbhai Patel,; born May 25, 1926 in Vadodara, is a Gujarati novelist, playwright, negotiator and translator who won the 2001 Sahitya Akademi Award for Gujarati language for his novel Agantuk.
She is a former President of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad and one of her play, Bhavni Bhavai, has been filmed. Her works include Aandhali Gali; Shimalanan Phool; Waansno Ankur, Javal, Atitrag, Anusandhan and Aagantuk.
