He is minister of Agriculture, Co-operation Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cow-Breeding., Prison, Excise Law & Justice, Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs. He is a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. He was earlier member of the Lok Sabha representing Amreli for four terms.
