Who is Dilip Sinha?

Dilip Sinha is the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to United Nations in Geneva. He assumed charge on March 20, 2012. He also represents India in its three year term on the United Nations Human Rights Council, which is the lead UN entity for addressing human rights. Ambassador Sinha was elected as Vice-President of the Human Rights Council Bureau for the term 1 January to 31 December 2014.

Prior to his current assignment, Sinha served as Special Secretary for International Organizations and Environmental Diplomacy in the Government of India.
