Who is Dr. Levan Z. Urushadze?
Dr. Levan Z. Urushadze (b.on February 7, 1964, in Tbilisi) is a Georgian historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences (Full Doctor, 2006), a Fellow of the World Academy of Art & Science (2004), Senior Research Fellow of the Georgian National Museum - Curator of the Museum of Soviet Occupation. 1981-1986 - Student of the Department of History of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Tbilisi State University. 1986-1989 - Post-Graduate Student of the Department of Source Studies of the Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. 1989-1995 - Research Fellow of the Department of Source Studies of the Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology. 1995-2003 - Editor-in-Chief of the Independent Information-Analytical Bulletin "Adamianis Uplebebi" ("Human Rights"). 2003-2006 - Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Source Studies of the Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology. Since 2006 - Senior Research Fellow of the Georgian National Museum - Curator of the Museum of Soviet Occupation (He is ome of the founders of this Museum). Dr. Urushadze is author of 130 scientific-research works (among them 8 monographs) in the fields of Source Studies of the History of Georgia, History of Georgia and the Caucasus of the XVII-XX centuries, History of the Georgian Political Emigration.
