Who is Ed Drewett?

Edward James "Ed" Drewett is a singer-songwriter who is best known for his contributions and collaborations with musicians such as The Wanted, Olly Murs and Stooshe. Drewett is also an artist in his own right, now releasing music on his independent self-funded BAER Music imprint.

Drewett left school at age 16 and went on to a performing arts college in Charlton, south-east London. He then proceeded to vocal college Tech Music School in west London the following year. In 2008 he signed to leading Worldwide publishers Warner Chappell.

Later that year he signed his first record deal with Virgin Records and featured on the Professor Green hit single “I Need You Tonight” which charted at #3. Drewett was then dropped by the label and began to write for other artists resulting in his first #1 hit single “All Time Low” for UK boyband The Wanted and the multi-platinum hit “Glad You Came”. Ed then signed to Polydor Records in February 2012 only to be dropped later again.

Drewett now releases on his own self-funded label Baer Music with his first single, “Undefeated”, being released in July 2013. Ed also records and produces under the pseudonym The Flame Haired Druid, a reference to a line in an unreleased version of Champagne Lemonade in which Ed raps "My name's Ed Drewett, The Flame Haired Druid."
