Who is Edsard Schlingemann?
Edsard Frederik Schlingemann, was a Dutch swimmer competing in Freestyle swimming. He took part in the Olympic Games of 1984 in Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles Schlingemann and his clubteam from AZ&PC finished seventh in the Men's 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay with a time of 7.26,72. At the Men's 4 x 100 metre freestyle relay he did not make the finals. Schlingemann also missed the finals in his individual races on the Men's 100 metre freestyle and the Men's 200 metre individual medley.
He represented The Netherlands at the 1982 and 1986 World Championships and the European Championships of 1983 and 1985.
Schlingeman died on 8 May 1990 in a car crash on his way to training.
