Who was Edward Hungerford?
Sir Edward Hungerford was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1614 and 1648. He was colonel of a regiment in the Parliamentary army in the English Civil War. He occupied and plundered Salisbury in 1643, and took Wardour and Farleigh castles.
