Who is Elena Popovska?
Elena Popovska is a Macedonian swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Popovska represented Macedonia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in the women's 100 m freestyle event. She swam in the first heat of the event, against Malta's Madeleine Scerri and Turkmenistan's Olga Hachatryan, but came only in second place, with a time of 59.93 seconds. Popovska, however, failed to advance into the semi-finals, as she placed forty-seventh in the overall rankings.
