Who is Elisabeth Blunschy?
Elisabeth Blunschy-Steiner ist die erste Frau, die ins höchste Amt der Schweiz gewählt wurde: Am 2. Mai 1977 wurde sie Nationalratspräsidentin. Sie ist Schweizer Juristin und wurde 1971 als Mitglied der CVP für den Kanton Schwyz in den Nationalrat gewählt, und dies, obwohl der Kanton Schwyz erst ein Jahr später das Frauenstimmrecht für Kantonsangelegenheiten einführte.
