Who was Elisha W. McComas?
Elisha W. McComas was an American politician who served as the second Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 1856 and 1857.
McComas was living in Cabell County when he was elected Virginia's lieutenant governor. He began his term on 1 January 1856 and resigned on 7 December 1857, when he was succeeded by William Lowther Jackson. McComas served as Captain in the U.S. Army during the Mexican-American War.
