Who is Eoin Young?

Eoin Young born 1939 is a New Zealand-born motoring journalist who was an Autocar columnist for some 30 years from 1967. After firstly working in a bank in Timaru he moved to the UK in 1961. He initially worked with Denny Hulme for the Formula Junior series in Europe, and then in 1962 he became Bruce McLaren's secretary. In 1976 he wrote Against All Odds with James Hunt, the story of the British Formula One driver's only F1 championship, and in 2003 Forza Amon! a Biography of Chris Amon. His columns and articles can now be found in many publications including 'Cars for the Connoisseur' in the UK, "Victory Lane" in the USA, "NZ Classic Car" in New Zealand and "Am Klassiek" in Holland. He also writes for the web-based motor sport magazine www.pitpass.com. He now no longer lives in the UK having moved back to his native New Zealand.
