Who is Erik Larson?

Erik Larson is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 1986 World Junior champion.

In 1985, Larson was coached by 1960 Squaw Valley Olympic bronze medalist Barbara Ann Roles Williams, and he became the first American figure skater to win a World Junior Championship title in the United States. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=121k2H4tpwo. While training at The Broadmoor in 1989 in Colorado Springs, he invented "The Larson Spin".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8ZFsL_fezs. At the 1989 U.S. Nationals, Larson placed 3rd in the short program and became an alternate for the World Championships. At the 1990 U.S. Olympic Festival in St. Paul Minnesota, he won the gold ahead of 1985 U.S. national junior champion Doug Mattis. He retired from competition due to an ankle injury.

He also toured with Gershwin on Ice with Peggy Fleming and The Osmond Brothers tour in Las Vegas. Currently, Larson is teaching at The Palm Beach Skate Zone with his wife Rosie. They have one child.
