Ernest "Ernie" Pollard birth registered in Wakefield district, is an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s and '30s playing at representative level for Great Britain, England, Yorkshire, and at club level for Wakefield Trinity, Leeds, and Bradford Northern, as a Stand-off/Five-eighth, i.e. number 6. Ernie Pollard's career was ended in October 1938 when he suffered a severe knee injury.
