Who was Ewan Jamieson?
Air Marshal Sir David Ewan Jamieson KBE CB was a senior commander in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. He was Chief of Air Force from 1979 to 1983, and Chief of Defence Staff from 1983 to 1986.
In the 1981 New Year Honours, Jamieson was appointed a Companion of the Order of the Bath. He was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 1967 Queen's Birthday Honours and promoted to Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 1986 New Year Honours.
