Who was Gene Markland?
Cleneth Eugene Markland was an American Major League Baseball infielder. Nicknamed "Mousey", he played for the Philadelphia Athletics during the 1950 season. Markland was signed by the New York Yankees in November 1950, but was released just before the start of the 1951 season.
