Who was George Byng, 4th Viscount Torrington?
George Byng was the 4th Viscount Torrington, son of George Byng, 3rd Viscount Torrington and Elizabeth Daniel.
He gained the title 4th Viscount Torrington at the death of his father in 1750.
On 20 July 1765 he married Lady Lucy Boyle, daughter of John Boyle, 5th Earl of Cork and Margaret Hamilton . They had seven children:
Lucy Elizabeth Byng, married Orlando Bridgman, 1st Earl of Bradford, 29 May 1788.
Georgiana Elizabeth Byng, married John Russell, later 6th Duke of Bedford, 1786.

Isabella Elizabeth Byng, married Thomas Thynne, 2nd Marquess of Bath, 14 April 1794.
