George Kandathil

Who was George Kandathil?

Father George Kandathil SJ is the pioneer of transactional analysis in India. He is the founder of trilogy. He was trained by Muriel James and Claude Steiner, first disciples of the psychiatrist Eric Berne, the generator of TA.

Fr. Kandathil established the Institute of Counseling and Transactional Analysis at Kochi, Kerala, India in 1973. It is the pioneering institute in India which offers systematic training in counseling and TA. Additionally, the institute provides training to people in areas such as human resource development, especially in the areas of education, counseling and psychotherapy and organizational development.
