Who is Gilbert Aké?

Gilbert Marie N'gbo Aké is an Ivorian academic and politician. He was named Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire by Laurent Gbagbo after the latter claimed victory in the disputed 2010 presidential election. Professor Gilbert Marie N'gbo Aké,successfully obtained State PHD in economics in 1991 at "l’université de Toulouse". Specialised in econometrics and regulatory economics, was dean of the faculty of economics and management from 2001 to 2007. He used to be the president of the 'université de Cocody' till 2011 and chairman of the scientific committee on the celabration of the fiftieth anniversary of Côte d’Ivoire's independance. He was appointed prime minister by His excellency Laurent Gbagbo on 7th december 2010, at the beginning of ivorian crisis of 2010-2011. His appointed was nullified by the ordinance n°2011-007 of 14 april 2011. In mai 2011, he was unjustly arrested then charged with threatening national security. One year and half later, in december 2012, he obtained his freedom, like sept other former ministers Laurent Gbagbo's last government.
