Goghal, the alter ego of Nico Goethals, was born after a horrific accident. One dark and stormy night, Nico was heading back home. On his motorcycle. The rain poured down, making it unable to drive any further. Just after parking his bike on the breakdown lane he got hit by a speeding car. Touch and go. Nico lost his left lower leg. His body, deformed by a higher power. Nico Goethals has been making music since he was a kid. In his teens and twenties he sang and played guitar in several rock bands, but since that harsh wake up call, he decided to also devote his time to working out some of his own musical ideas…Fascinated by the fact that all matter is subject to transformation, be it dead or fueled by a throbbing heart.
