Who was Goronwy ab Ednyfed?
Goronwy ab Ednyfed was senechal to Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, Kingdom of Gwynedd between 1246 and 1256. He was the founder of the Tudor family of Penmynydd:
His father was Ednyfed Fychan, senechal to Llywelyn the Great, Prince of Wales; his mother, Gwenllian, was daughter of Rhys ap Gruffydd. It is known that he inherited land in: Anglesey, Arllechwedd and Ceredigion.
