Who is Géza Csapó?

Géza Csapó is a Hungarian sprint canoer who competed in the 1970s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won two medals in K-1 1000 m event with a silver in 1976 and a bronze in 1972.

Csapó also won eleven medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with six golds, two silvers, and three bronzes.

He was elected Hungarian Sportsman of the year in 1973 after winning three gold medals at that year's World Championships.
