Hariata Whakatau Pitini-Morera was a New Zealand Māori leader, genealogist, historian, conservationist and weaver. Of Māori descent, she identified with the Ngai Tahu and Ngati Mamoe iwi. She was born in Little River, Northern Canterbury, New Zealand in about 1871.
