Who is Haridwar Singh?

Haridwar Singh is the director of the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, Pune. He obtained his PhD in Solid Rocket Propellant Combustion from Pune University and Post-doctoral Research from Max-Planck Institute, Göttingen, Germany, during 1985-86. Singh was awarded D.Sc. Degree by B.H.U, Varanasi for his unparrelled contributions in the field of rocket propellants, high explosives, armament and management of strategic technologies. He has supervised 36 Ph.D. And masters thesis. He has more than 175 resea rch papers, 18 patents and three award winning books to his credit. Singh has initiated and monitored many challenging and time-bound mission-oriented research programmes in the area of high energy materials especially propellants and explosives for rockets and missiles and advanced pyrotechnics.A spectrum of scientific achievements under his leadership included development and transfer of advanced technologies of high energy propellants for various applications including state-of-the-art propellant technology of a novel class of low vulnerability ammunition for tank gun.
