Who was Harold Nichols?
Harold Nichols was a collegiate wrestler and wrestling coach. He won the 1939 NCAA individual championship and went on to coach college wrestling for 37 years. He built the Iowa State Cyclones into a national wrestling power. In 32 years at Iowa State, Nichols' wrestlers won six NCAA team championships and 38 NCAA individual championships.
