Harry Gifford born in Kirkby-in-Furness, Lancashire, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s, '10s and '20s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, England, and Lancashire, and at club level for Barrow, as a Fullback, or Centre, i.e. number 1, or, 3 or 4, and latterly in the Forwards, e.g. Prop, Hooker, Second-row or Loose forward/Lock, in the era of contested scrums.
