Who was Harry Griggs?
Harry Griggs graduated from Yale University in 1949, after serving in World War II. He worked as a reporter for the Hartford Courant in Hartford, Connecticut until 1963.
Harry worked at NBC Nightly News in Washington, DC from 1963 to 1970, with David Brinkley and Chet Huntley. He then worked at NBC News in New York from 1970 onward.
He was deputy bureau chief of the NBC News office in London, England from 1985 to 1988. He retired from NBC in 1993.
In 1953 he married Lynne Patrick Griggs. They had three children together.
