Who was Helena Konttinen?

Helena Konttinen was a Finnish Christian prophet, whose religious activities were between the years a. 1893 and 1916, mostly located at Uukuniemi. Konttinen was married and she had four children. Helena fell into a trance-like state and spoke to her audience reading from a heavenly book shown to her in her trance like state exposing sins of her hearers’ without, however, revealing their identities. This led many to spiritual awakening and confession of their sins. Helena also foretold future events which came to pass in due course. She was also shown heavenly visions concerning angelic duties, heaven and hell and even some events in the Savior’s life that are not recorded in the Bible. None of these things change any doctrine of the Scriptures. God also sent Helena to different parts of Finland to confront individuals some of whom were planning homicides which through her intervention were thwarted as these individual’s minds were changed. The most part of Helena’s work, however, was proclaiming of sin and grace for the salvation of people’s souls and for the confirmation of Christians in the true doctrine and Christian life. K. K.
