Who is Henry Dama Phoya?

Henry Duncan Phoya is a former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Malawi.

He was kicked out of the Democratic Progressive Party after opposing the "Injunctions Bill", which he said was a bad piece of legislation that would remove human rights and not protect the people. Phoya was also the chairperson for the National Assembly's Legal Affairs Committee; a post that went to Goodall Gondwe in August 2011.

He is a Lawyer who went to Chancellor College of Malawi, but has not been practicing lately due to his involvement in politics and his personal businesses. He is a very respectable politician who has served Blantyre Rural East Constituency of the Republic of Malawi.
