Who was Henry Krips?

Henry Maria Krips, MBE was an Austrian-Australian conductor and composer, best known for his 23-year record term as principal conductor of the South Australian Symphony Orchestra. He is credited with introducing the works of Gustav Mahler to Australian audiences.
