Who was Henry Mackenzie?
The Rt Rev Henry Mackenzie was Bishop Suffragan of Nottingham from 1870 until 1877. Educated at Pembroke College, Oxford he had previously been Chaplain to the Bishop of Lincoln, Vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields and Archdeacon of Nottingham before his elevation to the Episcopate. He was consecrated on 2 February 1870 and died the year following his resignation and buried at South Collingham.
