Who was Humphrey Sibthorp?
Humphrey Sibthorp was a British Tory politician.
He was elected as a Member of Parliament for Boston at a by-election in April 1777, after the death of Charles Amcotts MP. He was re-elected in 1780, and held the sat until his defeat at the 1784 general election.
He was elected as a Member of Parliament for Lincoln at a by-election in April 1800, after the death of George Rawdon MP. He was re-elected in 1802, and held the seat until the 1806 general election, when he did not stand again in Lincoln.
