Who is Ian Harper?
Ian Harper FASSA FAICD is an Australian economist. He was the inaugural chairman of the Australian Fair Pay Commission before that body was abolished in 2009.
Harper has a Bachelor of Economics with honours from the University of Queensland and a Master of Economics and Doctor of Philosophy from the Australian National University. He is Professor emeritus at the Melbourne Business School, a graduate school of the University of Melbourne.
Harper has published numerous articles, and recently wrote Economics for life which won the 2011 SPCK Australian Christian Book of the Year Award.
