Who is Ingolf Wunder?
Ingolf Wunder is an Austrian pianist who won the second prize at the International Chopin Competition 2010, also winning special prizes for best concerto and best polonaise-fantasy performance. He had his first music lesson at the age of four, initially learning the violin.
He took part in 2005 International Chopin Piano Competition but failed to get into last stage. From 2008 to 2010 he studied under Adam Harasiewicz - himself winner of Chopin Competition in 1955.
He has performed in many parts of the world, both in solo recital and with orchestra.
In January 2011 he signed as an artist with Deutsche Grammophon, and has recorded two albums for them.
