Who is Irena Karpa?
Irena Karpa is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, and singer.
Since 1999 she is a frontwoman and songwriter of the band Faktychno Sami. Her first book appeared in 2000 when she studied in Kyiv National Linguistic University. After finish of the University she was travelling to South East Asia during a year. This became a reason of appearance of the book "Freud would cry".
From 2005 to 2008, she worked on TV. In 2004 she was a filmdirector of "Kyiv. Limited Edition" and later in 2006 was starring in Oleh Anpilohov's film "Autism" and A. Yakushenkov's film "Compote".
On May 17, 2008 Irena was married with journalist and writer Anton Friedland but in 2009 they divorced and in September she married American financier Norman Paul Hansen. They have two daughters.
Irena uses some rough words in her books. Some of her works were translated into Polish, Czech, Bulgarian and Russian.
