Who was Isaac Scott Nind?
Isaac Scott Nind was an early colonial West Australian settler and doctor.
He arrived in WA on Christmas Day, 1826, and spent five years in the Swan River Colony.
In 1826 he went on an expedition to Albany on board the Amity under Major Edmund Lockyer. While there he complied a Nyoongar vocabulary
He went to New South Wales in 1831 and settled in Paterson, where he started a chemist in 1846. He was appointed Commissioner of Crown Lands in 1837.
He married Maria Anne Johnston and had five daughters.
