Who was Jack Brewer?

Jack Herndon "Buddy" Brewer was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1944 through 1946 for the New York Giants. Listed at 6 ft 2 in, 170 lb., Brewer threw and batted right-handed. He attended University of Southern California.
