Who is Jack Shay?

Jack 'Daymo' Shay is an internationally acclaimed British singer, songwriter and pianist of Irish and German descent, who has been involved in the British soul and blues scene since the mid-1990s.

He has toured, supported and recorded with many artists spanning all genres of music including Courtney Pine, Linda Lewis, Sir Elton John, The Norman Beaker Band, Chris Farlowe, Tony Bennett, Chris Jagger, Geno Washington, Chas and Dave, Larry Garner, Dame Shirley Bassey, Take That, Luigi Salvoni, Luddy Samms, Bobby Womack, Mick Dyche, The Drifters and the Grammy Award winning engineer and producer, John Hudson. In August 2011, Shay staged three concerts with Ian 'Mac' McLagan in the Half Moon in Putney, and since then has regularly promoted and supported a succession of blues and rock performers at this venue including working on a frequent basis with Chas Hodges.

Shay supports various children's charities including ACLT.

He currently is working on his fourth album of original compositions, which is being produced by the former Sniff 'n' the Tears drummer, Luigi Salvoni. The album will include Shay's personal tribute to the families and victims of September 11 attacks.
