Who is James Campbell?
James Campbell is the state politics editor at the Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun newspapers in Melbourne. He has also written for The Age The Times newspaper in London, The Punch website, The Spectator and the Institute of Public Affairs Review. He also reported for the BBC on the 2013 Australian federal election.
He attended Melbourne Grammar School. He also attended University of Cambridge where he studied a Masters of Philosophy.
In 2003, he co-wrote with political science academic Brian Coster an academic paper titled 'Realigning Victoria: The State Election of 30 November 2002' in the Australian Journal of Political Science. At that time he also taught at Monash University's School of Political and Social Inquiry.
In 2010, Campbell won the Grant Hattam Quill Award for Investigative Journalism in any Medium from the Melbourne Press Club for a story about the conduct of the Victorian Director of Public Prosecutions Jeremy Rapke that led to his resignation.
