Who is James Chau?

James Chau who was born on 11 December 1977, is a journalist, television presenter, and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. He anchors the main evening news on China Central Television, which broadcasts from Beijing to more than 80 countries, and reports live on location worldwide. As a correspondent, he has covered breaking news on the Asian Tsunami and global SARS outbreak, and has interviewed world figures: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Nobel Laureate Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, and King Constantine II. He is one of the few journalists to have interviewed Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and mathematics teacher Anand Kumar., In 2009, he was appointed by the United Nations as China's first UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador.
