Who was James Kingston?
James Kingston was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and leg-break bowler who played for Warwickshire. He was born in Hardingstone and died in Italy.
While Kingston's only first-class appearance, against Leicestershire in the 1894 season, against whom he scored 24 runs, came for Warwickshire, Kingston had played as long as seventeen years previously for Northamptonshire, who he continued to play for in miscellaneous matches until the 1892 season.
In the only innings in which he batted in first-class cricket, he scored 24 runs.
Kingston's brothers, Charles, Frederick, Hubert, William, George, and Walter, also played cricket.
