Who is James Lawrence?

James Lawrence is an English football player presently on trial with Slovak Super Liga club AS Trenčín.

After a youth career in London with Enfield FC, Arsenal and QPR Lawrence joined HFC Haarlem in Holland experiencing immediate success in the 2008/9 season with 3rd place in the Netherlands U17 Eerstedivisie behind Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam.

In June 2009 Lawrence transferred to Ajax where he played for two seasons at U18 and U19 finishing the 2009/10 season as Netherlands U19 Eerstedivisie Runners-up and in 2010/11 as Netherlands U19 Eerstedivisie Champions. A season at the renowned Sparta Rotterdam Academy followed after which Lawrence was awarded a first professional contract at the newly formed U23 team of Dutch Eredivisie club RKC Waalwijk.

Two seasons in the Netherlands U23 Beloften Eredivisie included highlights such as back to back wins over both Jong PSV Eindhoven and Jong Feyenoord in 2012/13 and 3rd place in the KNVB Beloften Eredivisie Poule B in 2013/14.
