Who was James Paterson?
James Paterson was a 19th-century Member of Parliament in Otago, New Zealand. He was a cabinet minister, and on the Legislative Council.
He represented the City of Dunedin electorate 1862–1863 until he resigned, then the Dunedin and Suburbs South electorate 1863–1866, then the City of Dunedin electorate again 1866–1869 until he again resigned.
