Who is Jason Barickman?

Jason Barickman, is a Republican member of the Illinois Senate, representing the 53rd district since January 2013. Barickman is a veteran, having served in the Illinois Army National Guard as an infantry soldier. He previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 105th district from 2011 to 2013. Barickman graduated from Woodland High School, is a principal at the Meyer Capal law firm, and regularly owns, manages and develops real estate. Jason was raised on his family farm in rural Livingston County. Barickman accepted the role of Champaign County Republican Central Committee Chairman in 2006 following his graduation from the University of Illinois College of Law. Barickman and his wife Kristin reside in Bloomington with their two sons. Barickman is also a graduate of Illinois State University, where he served as the student body president.
